One Nation Working Together is the theme of a march to be held in Washington D.C. on October 2. The NAACP, 1199 SEIU, the National Council of La Raza, Green for All, Center for Community Change and the United States Student Association initiated this campaign, and more than 150 other national and local groups have already signed on
The Peace Table is a task force composed of more than 40 peace and antiwar organizations involved in the demonstration. As organizers state on the web site: "The peace and anti-war movements must take advantage of this unique opportunity to work closely with allies to demand Money for Jobs, Not For War, and Jobs, Peace and Justice. Our work over the past 8 years has set the table for this unprecedented broad coalition to gather and work together."
