On May 25 2016, the 50th anniversary of the anti-Vietnam War action by four South Bay women--Aileen Hutchinson, Beverly Farquharson, Lisa Kalvelage and Joyce McLean we gathered at the South Bay Yacht Club in Alviso to commemorate their brave action.
All four of the women are deceased but many family members were present and there were many questions for Reed Searle, the lawyer who defended the four and for Barby Ulmer, who helped in a support role.
Phil and Anne Pflager of Veterans for Peace Chapter 101 sang "My Name is Lisa Kalvelage",  the song written by Pete Seeger based on the statement made by Lisa Kalvelage at the trial.
