The house of representatives are planning to vote on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The ADA Education and Reform Act (H.R. 620) will be voted on next week. It is vital that we all take a stance and stop this horrible bill from passing.  This topic deserves more attention in America. We all own this collectively, so we all have a part in “How do we make this better?”

Background Information:

The so called ADA Education and Reform Act of 2017 will not achieve its stated goals. Instead, this bill undermines the very purpose of the landmark civil rights law, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and harms people with disabilities.

H.R. 620 would create barriers in seeing individual rights enforced under the ADA. Most importantly, the H.R. 620 would not stop fraudulent lawsuits and, in reality, it would weaken the civil right of people with disabilities!! In addition, it would also eliminate any reason for businesses to comply with the ADA unless they receive a legal notice first.
