Code Pink is a women-initiated grass-roots peace and social justice movement working to end the war in Iraq, stop new wars, and redirect our resources into health care, education and other life-affirming activities. San Jose Code Pink holds meetings at the San Jose Peace & Justice Center on the third Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. Here are some photos of San Jose Code Pink in action: In January 2006 we joined San Francisco Code Pink for a "Listen, Hillary -- Stop the War!" protest in the rain. In July 2006, on the weekend of the San Jose Grand Prix, we held a "Troops Home Fast" protest in front of the downtown library. We were joined by Vets for Peace Chapter 101 and other friends.
To commemorate Memorial Day and Fourth of July 2008, we took the big pink banner to the Santa Clara St. entrance of Highway 101. |
