More Join Stimulus for Peace
Billie and Saul Wachter are longtime peace and justice activists in the
South Bay. They recently responded to our plea to donate part of all of your tax rebate to the Peace & Justice Center as a "stimulus for peace". They said "Go – Peace Center – stimulate the economy!" Anne and Phil Pflager (Annie and the Vets) are the next to send a check to boost the SJ Peace & Justice economy.
Anne and Phil write:
"When our tax rebate check arrived this week we had no choice but participate in the government subterfuge purporting to strengthen the middle class. ...so we decided to pick up on that idea and boost the economy of SJPJC as well as some other deserving groups.
"We hope that by boosting your economy we will further the cause of peace and hasten an end to our long and shameful national nightmare."
Wage peace,
Anne and Phil

"The various demands and physical limitations of old age have kept us from attending most of the wonderful events reported in the Spring 2008 Peace Times. But just reading the issue gave us the feeling of having been there. The newly reorganized Peace Center is doing a fantastic job,and these reports filled us with hope and joy. Each separate
organization can seem weak in the fact of the power that is pushing our country to the brink of disaster, but together we can build anirresistible resistance.
The Peace Center blends the spirit ofresistance and the desperate need for unity. We hope in the future to be able to contribute more than money, but until then, our contributionwill have to speak for us. Thank you for all that you do.
With love,
Billie and Saul
