San Jose Peace & Justice Center

Devil's Tango is a one-woman whirlwind tour of the nuclear industry written by author Cecile Pineda, seen through the lens of the industrial and planetary crisis unfolding most visibly right now in Japan amid new reports of radiation leaks.

Pineda traces her own and the world's evolution of consciousness in the wake of the March 11, 2011 disaster at Fukushima Daiichi. Her reflections are peppered with dramatic monologues, day-to-day reportage, philosophical speculations, meditations, deep song and occasional flights of fancy.

What lessons can we apply to California's remaining nuclear plant in Diablo Canyon?

Sponsored by Women's International League for Peace and Freedom- San Jose, San Jose Peace & Justice Center, Code Pink, Nihonmachi Outreach Committee, Green Party of Santa Clara County and Veterans for Peace Chapter 101.
