Jafar Yaghoobi was released from prison in 1989. He escaped to Turkey to join his wife
and child in Germany before coming to the US where before his retirement he was a genetics
researcher at UC Davis.
His telling of his trials is to give insight to the thinking of the government then. His analysis of
how to succeed with diplomacy now is very reasoned. A good speaker and warm personality.
How he can be so after his experiences is a question to ask!!!
