||With the upcoming anniversary of the August 29, 1970 Chicano Moratorium in Los Angeles, the largest antiwar protest ever in the Chicano/Mexicano community, speakers Carlos Montes and Charley Trujillo discuss and reflect on the mobilization of the Chicano community in the sixties and seventies against the Vietnam War and the similarities we see today in the continued targeting of Chicanos, Mexicanos, Central Americans, and other immigrant and minority communities for military service.
Charley Trujillo- Award-winning Author and Vietnam War Veteran
Carlos Montes- Immigrant Rights and Anti-War Activist based in L.A.. He is one of the original organizers of the East L.A. school walkouts, and of the first original Chicano Moratorium. He also organized the Immigrants Rights marches in 2005, and the mega marches in 2006.
