The next Economics for Activists meets on Monday, May 22, and will discuss “Neofascism in the Whitehouse” and other articles assessing the economic and political basis of the Trump administration and Trump movement. We cannot effectively resist Trump policies if we have no analysis of the underlying economic causes driving them and the alignment of classes that is battling out the attempts to impose them. Who does Trump really represent? Who opposes him? Who can the working class rely on in its resistance to the attacks on immigrants, health care, housing, and on the survival of the earth itself?
