Let's Talk: Muslims in America

||This "Let's Talk" event will focus on understanding the issues faced by Muslim American families and looking at how we can protect the safety and rights of our Muslim neighbors.
This event is FREE and open to all. (Please register for your free ticket.)
Our featured speaker will be Sobia Sultan, M.D. who will talk about how being a Muslim impacts her life as a mother, physician and member of her local community. She'll be joined by Kate Chance of the Islamic Network Group (ING) who'll be talking about programs to battle Islamophobia through understanding, education and connection. We'll also hear about how Muslim youth are stepping up to educate peers and prevent bullying, and about how various faith groups are uniting to support the Muslim community.
6:30 p.m. Registration. Meet & greet with snacks to enjoy. Info tables for local community organizations.
