Resisting Corporate Dictatorship

When: Friday, February 23 2018 @ 06:30 PM - - 08:30PM
Where: Sacred Heart Community Service
1381 South First Street
San Jose, CA 95110
Description: Nationally renowned freedom fighter Rev. Edward Pinkney from Benton Harbor, Michigan will be appearing in San Jose as part of a statewide speaking tour in California. Rev. Pinkney recently completed an unjust 30-month prison sentence for the "crime" of exercising his democratic right to circulate a recall petition against the pro-corporate mayor of Benton Harbor in 2014.

Join Rev. Pinkney and a panel of grassroots local leaders to discuss how to come together to defend democracy, fight displacement and mass incarceration, and build the new America we all know is possible.

Open to the public
Wheelchair accessible

Sponsored by People's Tribune, CHAM Deliverance Ministry, Low-Income Self-Help Center, Silicon Valley De-Bug, EDGE, Serve the People San Jose, Working Partnerships USA, Sacred Heart Community Service, and San Jose / Silicon Valley NAACP
