AKSC Book Discussion: Lenin's Birthday Special

When: Sunday, April 22 2018 @ 03:00 PM - - 06:00PM
Where: San Jose Peace and Justice Center
48 South 7th Street
San Jose, CA 95112
Description: On the occasion of the 148th birth anniversary of Vladimir Lenin, the Ambedkar King Study Circle's monthly book discussion will host a special reading of Lenin's book The State and Revolution.

Lenin is one of the great leaders and teachers of the working class.

Com. Lenin's statues at Sabroom and Belonia, Tripura, India were allegedly vandalized by the RSS/BJP cadres. Such atrocious events took place followed by communal forces victory in the state assembly elections whose results were announced in the first week of March 2018.

False propaganda and terrorizing the people are means and methods of the communal forces. AKSC would like to respond these communal forces by organizing a small birthday celebration on Lenin's 148th birth anniversary by discussing one of the most important books written by him. Interested people will share their thoughts on Lenin and his contribution to the emancipation of the entire working class.

Since majority of us belong to professional / white collar workers most of the times we are disconnected from the working class issues and more importantly during the crisis wrongly we take position with the capitalist class rather with the working class. Lenin's teaching will help us to raise our class consciousness to stand with the working class during the time of the crisis rather with the bourgeoisie class.
