Protest Israeli massacre of Palestinians in Gaza

When: Friday, May 04 2018 @ 05:00 PM - - 06:00PM
Where: Dr Martin Luther King, Jr. Library
150 E. San Fernando St
San Jose
Description: Join Jewish Voice for Peace and the Friday Peace Vigil as we gather outside the Martin Luther King Library in downtown San Jose in a public show of support for the Gaza protesters. We’ll honor the lives of those killed in the protests by holding their pictures and distributing leaflets with information and messages for contacting congressional representatives. Congress must take action to stop the killing of Palestinians! People have the right to protest without being shot or killed!

On April 17th the UN Commission on Human Rights stated, ”We express our outrage over these shootings that may have resulted in unlawful killings and the incomprehensibly high number of injuries sustained…We call for an immediate end to the 11-year-old comprehensive blockade on Gaza, which is imposing untold suffering on the population. We cannot continue to ignore this collective punishment of the people of Gaza, and the undeniable human rights impacts of the blockade. Collective punishment is prohibited under international law, and there must be international accountability for such actions.” Join Jewish Voice for Peace and the Friday Peace Vigil as we gather outside the Martin Luther King Library in downtown San Jose in a public show of support for the Gaza protesters. We’ll honor the lives of those killed in the protests by holding their pictures and distributing leaflets with information and messages for contacting congressional representatives. Congress must take action to stop the killing of Palestinians! People have the right to protest without being shot or killed!
