May 2018

South Bay Poor People's Campaign Meeting

When: Saturday, May 05 2018 @ 03:00 PM - - 05:00PM
Where: San Jose Peace and Justice Center
48 S. 7th Street
San Jose, CA 95112
Description:

Rev. Barber's call for a nationwide moral revival and a new Poor People's Campaign is resonating in communities all over the country and in CA. You are invited to join in planning activities for the Poor People’s Campaign as part of all of our ongoing economic and social justice work in the South Bay.

The technological revolution-born here in "Silicon Valley- is radically affecting our communities and the world. While it has created vast wealth for some, too many of us and our neighbors are struggling with joblessness, or below subsistence wage jobs while suffering mass displacement--astronomical rents, homelessness, killer commutes, disruption of family and community life, lack of access to affordable higher education...pollution. We, the people, are building the power to fight for our future.

This event is sponsored by SJPJC and WILPF-SJ. and Low Income Self Help Center.
